Need help from some you magazine gurus.

From a South Pole group I belong to there was a reference of a plastic model of the Que Sera Sera that was built a few years ago and put in a magazine called the Model Aircraft Modeler--tried looking it up but I think one or more words of the mag name are out of place or wrong altogether.

Would like to find this article and see if anything at all is different from what I am planning on doing and get the name of the builder and contact him or her about their research and tell them about mine.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Karen

I did send Larry C an email to remind him of the demo next meeting, but no reply yet.

Paul, I checked with Great Models and it appears that they no longer carry the fine wire. Probably a good alternative source, and probably more consistent, is Small Parts Inc. Their web site is;

http://www.smallparts.com/

They have some lengths of .005 and .006 wire that should work fine.

I would expect that the Natural Metal Finish demo will take place starting 7:30 or so at the next meeting.

Two things.
1 Is the wire still available for antennas?
2 What time is the demo on natural metal finish?
Where?

Hey there!

Me and some friends developed a virtual showcase exclusively for collectors and modellers. It is completely free of any charge. All costs (time and money) were covered by a small group of enthusiastic modellers/collectors! As we just went online (and already have 155 registered users!), we need the support from as many modellers as possible to show the first few modells. Thank you for your support!

www.swapey.com/Modelling

swapey is a free portal that enables its members to exhibit their models in their own virtual showcase, and thus present them to a global audience. Everybody can upload their photos themselves with a few very quick and easy steps. Other members can contact you or discuss your model in the mini forum which is attached to every exhibited model! Do you have questions about a certain modelling technique? No problem, just go to the "Research-Hall" of the Showcase and ask the question to other modellers. This is just one of 4 Halls of the virtual Showcase (or Museum):

SHOWCASE
You can show your collection in 4 different halls:

(1) Exhibition-Hall: for models you only want to show to other collectors, but not trade or sell.
(2) Swap-Market-Hall: for items you would like to trade against other interesting items. Members can contact you and offer you their items for trade.
(3) Research-Hall: for models or modelling techniques you would like to learn more about from other collectors.
(4) Private-Hall: for items you only want to show your friends but nobody else.

FORUM
Every model has its own mini discussion forum attached to it. At the moment the forum allows only text, but in the upcoming release it will also be possible to add photos and other files.

RATING
You can rate models with 1-5 stars. The purpose of this feature is to separate extraordinary and interesting models from more common models (which are of course also wellcome on swapey). Members can then search for items with the highest number of stars.

DEMO
A short demo explains the concept to you:
DEMO

COMMUNITY
Also, since we go online only today, there are just a few dozen items in the swapey showcase yet. In order that swapey becomes a success for all collectors we depend on you. With every item you upload you make swapey more interesting for other members and vice versa. Please share your photos and passion!

The success of swapey is based on the size of the community that actively uses swapey. For this reason you, as a member, will also benefit from every new member. You can help by recommending swapey to your friends.

CATEGORIES
There will be other collectibles categories on swapey in the future. In order that you only see Comics you can access swapey via http://www.swapey.com/Modelling. But of course you can also see all categories if you enter http://www.swapey.com
For Luftwaffe modellers there are some interesting original Luftwaffe items if you go to http://www.swapey.com/Militaria

QUESTIONS
If you have any questions, remarks or suggestions please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@swapey.com

FEEDBACK
We need your feedback in order to improve the concept. Do you like this idea? What would you do differently?

We do hope that we can soon welcome you at swapey and that you get into touch with many new collectors and that you may even find a thrilling item for your own collection at swapey! Welcome to swapey!

Cheers,
Roger

That laughing smiley and smiling smiley were my sarcasm because I changed them already. There were two #20's.
